Earn From ELDT — Without Your Own Registration
Every new CDL driver is federally required to complete ELDT. There are three ways to earn from that without becoming a registered provider yourself — and in 2026, that's the smarter side of the table to sit on.
Looking to start your own ELDT academy? We used to sell a course on exactly that. We stopped — because in 2026 the answer changed. Holding your own registry listing now means record retention under 49 CFR 380.725, producing those records to FMCSA within 48 hours on request, and exposure to removal. This page is the version that actually makes sense now: sell the training, let us carry the compliance.
Investigators went into 40 states in July. On August 31 alone, more than 110 providers were removed on an emergency basis. Findings included instructors without proper licences, inadequate facilities, and missing training and assessment records.
Under 49 CFR Part 380 Subpart G, training conducted after a provider's removal date is considered invalid — so their students pay twice. None of that is your problem as an affiliate or reseller. We hold the listing, keep the records, and submit every completion. How removals work →
Three Ways to Earn
Pick the one that matches what you already have — an audience, a school, or a driver roster.
Share a link. Earn on everything they buy — $5 on a $20 course, $12.50 on a $50 bundle. No CDL needed, no approval step, no cap.
Buy wholesale, set your own price. Most schools resell between $50 and $109 — that's $32 to $91 a seat you keep. Your students claim seats through your link, with no checkout and no price on screen.
Not resale — cost control. Same-day registry submission and student support included. Bought one driver at a time with same-day, that course is $35.
Reseller Economics — Real Numbers
A 50-seat block costs you $900. What you make depends entirely on what you charge:
| You resell at | Margin per seat | Profit per 50-seat block | Who charges this |
|---|---|---|---|
| $50 | $32 | $1,600 | Budget online providers |
| $60 | $42 | $2,100 | Most CDL schools |
| $79 | $61 | $3,050 | Schools bundling with BTW |
| $109 | $91 | $4,550 | Top of the market |
Your price is yours to set — we don't dictate it and we don't compete with you for your students. These are the price points commonly seen across the market, not a guarantee of what you'll sell at. Seats drop to $16 at 100 and $14 at 250.
What You Don't Have to Do
You don't register, don't self-certify, and don't appear on the registry. Our Provider ID carries every submission.
49 CFR 380.725 requires three years of assessment records, instructor documentation and lesson plans. That's on us.
Registered providers must produce records to FMCSA within 48 hours of a request. You'll never get that call.
Five FMCSA-registered theory courses already exist, already convert, and already submit. Nothing to write or maintain.
Who Each Program Fits
You have an audience of drivers. Share a link, earn 25%, do nothing else. Free, weekly payouts, no minimum.
You do behind-the-wheel; we do theory and the registry submission. Buy from $18, charge what your market bears.
Get candidates ELDT-compliant before placement, or resell to them. Buy seats ahead and hand out your link as you hire.
Training your own drivers isn't resale. Fleet pricing, invoicing, purchase orders, student support and same-day submission.
Tell us your organization, how many seats, and which courses. We'll confirm pricing and have you live within one business day. The affiliate program is self-serve — join and get your link immediately.
We respond within one business day. Calls available if you'd rather talk it through.
