4.FMCSA TPR Reporting — Required by Federal Law

Important: As an FMCSA-approved ELDT provider, DLA Academy is required by federal regulation (49 CFR Part 380) to submit your ELDT completion data to the FMCSA Training Provider Registry (TPR). This is a legal requirement — not optional — and cannot be opted out of.

The following information is submitted to the FMCSA TPR upon your successful completion of an ELDT course:

  • Full legal name
  • Date of birth
  • Commercial driver's license (CDL) number and issuing state
  • Course name and type (e.g., Hazmat ELDT, CDL A Theory ELDT)
  • Date of completion
  • Pass/fail status and assessment score
  • DLA Academy's FMCSA Provider Location ID

This data is transmitted directly to the FMCSA and is governed by FMCSA's own privacy policies and federal data retention requirements. DLA Academy is not responsible for how the FMCSA stores, uses, or shares this data once submitted.

Your state DMV accesses this data through the TPR to verify your ELDT completion before scheduling CDL skills tests or endorsement knowledge tests.
